Catherine E. Lawler. Ms. Lawler has been Managing Director of Cheshire Partners since 1983 and has been consulting with private and publicly-traded corporations on issues of strategic planning, brand marketing, managed growth, corporate communications and corporate and brand strategy since then. From 1985-present, she has served on numerous private company board of directors and charitable organizations, representing shareholder interests as well as corporate interests, and has performed oversight, financial and corporate governance work and held numerous corporate titles at these corporations. She has worked closely with law firms and has provided a variety of financial functions for complex litigation, including tax cases, divorce cases, and securities valuation cases. For the past 7 years, she has advised service businesses in the areas of sales and marketing, focusing on online marketing and online reputation management. She has two dogs and one bird. She has co-founded or founded 2 animal-assisted therapy corporations in the Chicago area and has spoken numerous times to the veterinary and medical professionals on the topic. From 1978-1985, she was a corporate and securities paralegal, and she holds a degree from Northwestern University, BS Economics.
